So Radiohead is coming to Taiwan

Ok fine. Radiohead's touring. Taiwan & Japan this July. Siot je. When la they're playing KL, or let alone Singapore/JKT. The gang wanted to go, but later2 upon discovering they're playing their recent stuffs we kinda dowan to go. You know, they might play a lot of post- Ok Computer. Whaddefish.. This could've been my coming-of-age, watching the Pink Floyd of my generation play live. Flight tix are kinda cheap, if we book now. There's a hotel called Gallery Hotel that's just 5 mins walking distance from the arena. Nangang Exhibition Hall, also called Taipei Exhibition Trade Center something like that.

I confided in Angah, something like "radiohead's coming to Taiwan, go ahead you can kill me now". She mentioned they can take care of the kids while we're away. *Fish, now How To Disappear Completely playing in Mr WinAmp right now* - this song can make you feel afloat, disappear from 3D. Put on headphones, turn off the lights and there you go. So Angah said just go, bring Kak Mek. Kind of a holiday together gether. Sheesh, i can get depressed just by thinking of it. Opportunities like this can only come once in a lifetime. Just like Deftones. Fish, deftones blowed our minds. Literally. Chino did not need to sing at all cos we contributed vocals virtually in every song.

But how come they not plpay Creep? High & Dry? Karma Police? LET DOWN????????? No Surprises? 2+2=5 pun tarak. Definitely they'll play In Rainbows + King of Limbs for sure. I'm the kind of not that adventerous when it comes to food & music. I take a LONG time to digest and comprehend those things. So when i took a peek at King of Limbs, my my it was the same feeling as Incubus If Not Now, When?

Alfie said, "Radiohead, bai.."

True, bai..

Ok this is funneh..

It's Monday, i'm at work but due to public holiday Taska Amira is closed (they even celebrate Thaipusam by closing the taska) so Mek is at home with the kids. Normally i will pasang my WinAmp (cos real men use WinAmp?) to facilitate my mind to complete the tasks in the office.

So there's this Dewa 19 song, Arjuna Mencari Cinta. That song brought me back to Celcom's call centre, where i spent 12 months after graduating listening to customers whining about Celcom. I was at the prepaid department, so if a postpaid exec got a call from a prepaid customer he would transfer the customer to me. Please bear in mind that during those days i was mad about Dewa 19 and other Indon bands. See after AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 i lessened my interest in their brand of music btw. Focus on the song Arjuna Mencari Cinta. Here goes:

Postpaid staff : "Bro, ada customer ni ada issue dgn prepaid dia"..
moi : "No prob, bak la..Sapa nama dia?"
Postpaid guy : "En Dewa"
moi : "Perghh!!!!!!!! Wassssap!!!!! Cool gila nama ikut nama band tu!!!" Ko transfer la ke aku, thanks.
[after learning the customer's name, my head played Arjuna Mencari Cinta's chorus]

*call being transferred to me*

moi [AkulahArjunaaaaaaaa wooooo] : "Selamat pagi En Arjuna"..

*silence* macam dalam perpustakaan

"En Arjuna? Anda disana ke?" - sonyap jo.. melabur ke apa..

"En Arjuna????" . last last ada suara...

"Namanya En Dewa lah!"..

Gulp..Next time don't mix your interest together with work.

Kids pulling on your heartstrings

Earlier today we were in the car. Aesha sat beside me as usual. Then i was on the phone, the conversation turned kecoh due to some misunderstanding. I was raising my voice at the other end, i can hear Aesha kept repeating "sayang Papa, sayang Papa". It didn't dawn on me she was asking me to tone down my voice. Or was it she thought i was scolding here at that time.

Phone conversation ended, i blew my top cos i lost my way to the destination. You know, muttering to yourself plus the occasional banging of the steering wheel. Aesha's mood became somewhat sombre, i can sense she's a bit sad - thanks to my temper.

I explained to her i'm not mad at her, it's just one of those 'Papa moments'. Then her response made me terkedu. She, with sadness asked for my hand. I gave it to her thinking she just wants to hold hands. Aesha kissed my hand, still being sad.

Epic ouch. She's such a sweetheart. Papa not angry at you, Aesha. It's just me, being the usual me. This weekend we go swimming eh?

Lost!

Just because I'm losing
Doesn't mean I'm lost
Doesn't mean I'll stop
Doesn't mean I'm in a cross

Just because I'm hurting
Doesn't mean I'm hurt
Doesn't mean I didn't get what I deserve
No better and no worse

I just got lost
Every river that I've tried to cross
And every door I ever tried was locked
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off...

You might be a big fish
In a little pond
Doesn't mean you've won
'Cause along may come
A bigger one

And you'll be lost
Every river that you try to cross
Every gun you ever held went off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the firing stops
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off...

Sakit Mata

First, Aesha got infected. Although her eyes did not become red. Twas a hard time giving her eye medication, a 2 year old would freak out when you want to drop something into her eye. Next, it was me.. Along the way Arshad pulak.. I pity the boy cos he looks so innocent with that half-red eye. Kesian la nengok.

As for Aesha - she settled already. Mine's getting worse, and Dr Azman repeatedly said he doesn't want to prescribe me ointment for fear of rashes.. Haish, and he gave me eye patch which reminds me to book Pirates ticket with Mek. But after 2nd visit i got better eyedrops so not much liquid from the eye. Mula2 we brought Aesha to office for about a week. She's so lovely, not much fuss + afternoon nap at 3pm everyday. We even decided to stop sending her to nursery - "School" as she calls it. But then again it's difficult to entertain her when you'vr got work to do. Maybe when she's 4 years old la.

So now we have to bring Arshad to office. Alhamdulillah my job somehow is quite flexible to do that. *right at this moment a couple of stray dogs rummaging thru neighbours garbage* but then again strays do not wear collars right? Stoopit owners.

See last Friday there was a major water disruption around here. You seem to sense it when the tap sprouts only small amount of rust water. Later in the evening Syabas truck came with extra water. But how can i buat susu when even the water is a bit rusty?

Backup plan, went to stay at a relative's house in SA. Atuk n nenek away for a cousin's wedding. Came back to see supply ok, but not as before. It's either i dunno whether i changed main pipe setting or main's busted with clogged rust. Takpela, we'll be moving house this month anyway, so ok.

*Dogs still enjoying the trash*

And after you left unwashed dishes for 3 days (because of Syabas mere betti), there's so much cleaning to do. As for me, the chief "pembasuh pinggan", it's my pleasure to clear those dishes. Not to mention the sepah urghh..

But sometimes when you're too tired you just can't seem to sleep. Mak aii..

Cant wait for our quick getaway next week! Aesha will be most pleased with the private pool, wanna try put Arshad in as well.

Quick getaway

I went to Legend International Water Homes for out teambuilding last week. Eh last week je? How time flies.

And then i felt i wanted to share my happiness with family. Booked villa using www.booking.com and voila got it already.

Now i can relive those 'Entourage' moments again.. Chilling in the pool, estranged from the world..

Splash splash guys..

Mak aii dah boleh!

Coolness! Tapi i have to remember to erase my auto-signature and the font is not the size i loike. But i loike nonetheless.

Test

Currently testing to post entry using email. Here goes nothing!

Of nasi arabs and conjunctivitis

Yo it's been 2 weeks Aesha becomes latest staff to join us. Her gaji is RM1 per day, courtesy of Ummi. But i think have to include in monthly Opex, and her salary will be put into her ASB fund. Kecoh woo..Actually we decided to bring her to office because she got some allergy which turned her left eye sepet.
So at last we thought she have to go back to school after everything turns out ok.
Papa pening ada budak kecik nak tengok Barney everyday. You know the feeling, theme song playing non stop in your head? Ha, "I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME..WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY..". Dah la ciplak from "one and two, two and three"..And then there's another song - ciplak from 'Are You Sleeping". Corny weh.. I think it's because i dont approve of "improvised" songs at all. You know, that Irish boyband doing Tracy Chapman's Baby Can I Hold You Tonight"..Or even Westlife covering Phil Collins' Against All Odds.. Boleh nangis tau kalau dengar Mr Collins nyanyi lagu tu. Tapi kalau Westlife i barf. Ryhme? No?

Regarding nasi arab, we found the latest restaurant that has the best nasi. Without the gravy pun sedap. It's beside Bangi Kopitiam. Carilah sendiri yo..
